DOMAIN NAME PROCEDURES

One of the domain name procedures Drum Communication (DC) clients need is to transfer their domain names to our registrar. Since we are usually not the administrative contact for the original domain name account, we need to work closely with the client through this process.

Transferring a Domain Name

  1. DC will speak with you (the registrant, owner or current administrative contact for the domain name) or email you to review
    1. the procedure as outlined below
    2. the importance of keeping an eye out for related emails. There will be several emails requiring responses during this process. If an expected email message is not received within a half hour or so, contact Drum Communications by phone (518-452-5411) or email. Check your email spam folder to make sure the message hasn't ended up there.
    3. what actions will be needed such as clicking on various links to indicate approval
    4. the importance of following through on required email instructions as soon as possible, regardless of how much time the message indicates, in order to maintain enough time to deal with any problems that may arise, and, finally,
    5. the need to forward all related emails to DC along with updates on the status of the procedure.
  2. DC will initiate the process of transferring the domain name to BulkRegister, our registrar.
  3. You will receive an email from support@bulkregister.com (see NOTE below) with the subject: Confirmation of Transfer. The body of the message will read as follows with the exceptions of the actual Batch ID, Admin Handle, the Pin # and yourdomainname.com (shown in red here) which will be specific to your account:
